Creating local users

• Select the “Users and groups” main menu item on the left of the screen.

• Select the “Local users” sub menu tab.

• Click on the “Create a new local user” button to create a new local user. You will be prompted for the following information :

User's username : The username of the new user.

User's real name : A real world name for this user.

Password and confirm password : Enter a password for this user and confirm the entry.

Primary group : Select a group that will be this user's primary group. If you dont find a group that you want, then please create the new group first before creating the user.
