Create a new ZFS snapshot

• Select the “Storage” main menu item on the left of the screen.

• Select the “Snapshot manager” sub menu tab.

• At the end of the snapshot list, you will see a button called “Create a snapshot”. Clicking on this button will take you to a screen which will prompt you for the following information before creating a snapshot :

Target : Select which pool/dataset/block device volume for which you want to take the snapshot.

Snapshot name : Select a name for the snapshot.

Schedule task : Selecting this will allow you to schedule snapshots based on the parameters that follow. The name of each snapshot will the the specified name followed by the timestamp.
